Review of Fram Oil Filter
An automotive from aftermarket, Fram is a very well known oil filter brand. There are some other products too in the sale of which this business house is engaged. These include products like filters for fuel as well as air, breather element filters and some more like products. It is a product of aftermarket, therefore, it is not highly recommended by automobile producers as they would like to use their own brand. The brand has a trademark orange colored portrayal and is very well known for its marketing tagline and another that says; ‘Before you spam it, fram it”.
Fram has a wide range of filters offered by it which include filters like extra Guard oil filter, tough guard filter, extended guard oil filter and high mileage oil filters.

- A reviewer holds that the Fram Oil Filter lacks a tough casing which is very important to keep a check on the oil pressure which if went unchecked can blow the filter badly apart. It was found that the Fram Oil Filter got split due to weak casing or the seal of the same moved over and paved way for uncertainties like the destruction of engine. When protested against the company lost the case due to breach of warranty to the customer.
Fram Oil Filter has just a single loaded spring and again a single rubber membrane valve. It is said that the valves of Fram Oil Filter bypass are set so low that these fail to filter anything which goes against the requirement that the oil should be able to reach the engine through clogged filter.
In another observation it was found that those parts, the endings of the filter element were attached with, were made from cardboard and not any metal.
It was also found that the crimps of the filter element were not very neat but fragmented and were bound together using a little string. This too is not a very desirable characteristic.
The consumer experience stories on the use of Fram Oil Filters are not too impressive.
It could be said that the Fram Oil Filters were found to be of a really poor construction compared to the commonly used filters.

The premise of this argument is that the construction material may not be of a very strong quality, it might be inferior but it is the ability to perform that should be the most righteous criterion. - The reviewer says that it does really not matter whether one buys an expensive, branded filter or a cheap, unbranded one; it is the way it should perform that should be considered. It is also talked about that not all Fram Oil Filters are the same, some are really good performers though not recommended more racing bikes or cars.
The components used in making the filter should be of good quality and a sound making but this should not become the sole criteria for making judgments about the efficiency of a product i.e. Fram Oil Filters in this case.
